Book Drive
To wrap up the 2017-2018 year of IAYG, the new community service chairs, Arjun Nanda and Rishi Khanna, set up a summer and back to school book drive. In total, the group gathered a total of 134 books with almost every member donating. The books were donate to two different charities: More Than Words and Donationtown. More Than Words is a local charity based out of Waltham; it operates as a bookstore that employs students who are in the foster care system, homeless, or out of school. Donationtown is an organization that specializes in test prep and textbooks; the team donated AP, SAT, and ACT prep books as well as a few medical school textbooks. Ultimately, this was a strong, rewarding way to end the Indian American Youth Group year.
